Bio

Mark Abernathy graduated from the University of Texas and began his mortgage banking career in 1990 with Lumbermen’s Investment Corporation (LIC), where his loan volume consistently ranked him among the top in the country. After 14 years in the business, Mark and several colleagues founded Capstar Lending, which later became part of First Bank.

Mark and his wife Carolyn have twin sons, Matthew and Robert. He stays active with his family, loves to fish, runs marathons, and follows sports
